What’s up everybody, im RAZIEL welcome to my build guide.
this is my divine oracle full righteous path dps buff Debuff cleric build for Xbox one, or as I like to call it, SoulReaver.
Now read on to find out why the DC is one of the most versatile and fun classes to play in this game.
Disclaimer: I don’t claim to know everything about this class as a whole, that being said, I know what I use right now works well. Very well.
Everything I’ve done with this build has been tested numerous times, it’s been trial and error to get it where I’m content with its performance.
Playing as a DC is fairly new to me, this started as an ALT and quickly became my main. The rest of my time in neverwinter was spent as a CW.
This is still a work in progress and by no means full endgame finished product, I am chopping and changing and testing things all the time to find what I think compliments the build better. Mod 12 is two weeks away at the current time I’m writing this, so expect an updated version within a few weeks to a month.
The Lowdown: this build isnt based on heals first of all, you will definitely provide a small amount of healing naturally, but there are other builds out there specifically for that. This is a full DPS Buff Debuff setup. Maintaining 100% crit chance is a big part of this build, this build is more end game and does require the crit chance to be as effective as it is.
In random queues you will probably be one of the strongest, if not the strongest DPS.
aswell as boosting the whole groups damage output considerably, dealing decent DPS is going to make runs much smoother and you will definitely tell a difference as will other people in the group.
Your gonna boost the damage of your whole group and yourself just by being near them, thats not taking into consideration all the extra bells and whistles your gonna throw in the mix when you start laying down some pain. Now in order to be effective at what we do we cant focus on DPS primarily or at least not in endgame dungeons eg FBI. So we gotta try and be the best of both
Here is my Toon unbuffed.
Buffed from companions gift:
Race:✓
Race isn’t a massive game changer but in my opinion dragon born is the best for this build.
It gives 3% increase to power and crit and also a bonus 5% incoming healing, plus it looks bad ass. You’ll want to roll the highest wisdom and charisma you can and then add the +2 to charisma as I believe it already adds +2 to wisdom automatically when rolling. So you get a +4 stat increase from this race.
You could use either human or half elf for the stat bonuses and also as a human +3 extra heroic points to spend on your feats along with 3% increased defense.
Feats & Boons
Heroic:
Healing action 2/5
Toughness 3/3
Domain synergy 5/5
Weapon mastery 3/3
Repurpose soul 2/3
Bountiful fortune 5/5
Righteous paragon:
Astral fury 5/5
Furious intervention 5/5
Righteous suffering 5/5
Weapons of light 5/5
Piercing light 5/5
Bear your sins 5/5
Condemning gaze 5/5
Fire of the gods 5/5
Avatar 1/1
Note: this toon is relatively new so haven’t yet unlocked all of storm kings thunder or cloaked ascendancy boons, along with maze engine and a couple in the underdark. I USE STRONGHOLD POWER DEFENCE AND MOUNT SPEED BOONS.
I will add below what I will be choosing when I do unlock them.
Companions:
I use a fire archon as summoned at legendary for the 15% bonus, along with its active bonus of us dealing 7% more damage to enemies below 50% of their max HP.
He’s equipped with full illusionist gambit gear both rings and the talisman. And has r12 azures in each offensive slot. This gives me in my opinion still a respectable amount of power while maintaining 100% crit chance. I also have -70% resistance ignored mainly from the little bit of Armor penetration one of the rings gives.
When buffed I sit between 70 and 80k power, 34-35k crit and -70% resistance ignored.
recovery is important but not as important as in an AC devoted cleric, what I have right now is pretty sufficient enough for my needs.
Siege master at epic : 4% increased damage output
Wild Hunt rider at rare : 3% chance to deal 10% extra damage on encounter use for 5 seconds (this may be swapped when mod 12 drops.)
Erinyes of Belial at rare : 5% critical severity
Air archon at epic: 7% increased damage to enemies that aren’t at full health so basically 100% uptime.
Note: the additional .5% extra damage bonus for every active archon is currently bugged and has been for a long time, but this is being fixed in mod 12.
Also i may be swapping out one of these for a new companion the raptor in mod 12 for the group buff capabilities. But for now these do great.
Enchantments and Gear:
Rings:✓
I use a greater ostorian ring of hellig for the power and recovery.
My other ring is a greater ostorian ring of krig
All jewellery have major action point gain jewels on them.
Armor and enchantment:✓
I use a transcendent negation enchantment for the decrease in cooldowns and the additional DR plus additional incoming healing.
for my Armor I use the full set of titansteel restoration masterwork Armor, the stats are the same as fully vivified T3 relic Armor. Each piece has a major power Armor kit applied.
Weapon set and enchantment:✓
Artifact class feature on OH is terrifying insight for +5% critical severity, and then companion influence; as my combat advantage and ap gain are already above 9% and you’ll see diminished returns when adding more.
MH is lance of faith +8% damage.
For my weapon set I use the bright silver holy symbol and icon, I like this set because it’s set bonus +2% outgoing damage, +2% outgoing healing, -2% incoming damage. This stacks up to 5 times for everyone in your group using the stronghold masterwork weapons, its active at all times and I’ve noticed increasing amounts of people using these since the prices have began to drop. This is good news for anyone using them.
I use transcendent dread enchantment on the weapon and after testing against vorpal, lightning, terror, and holy avenger. I find it to be superior for this particular build, the Debuff it offers is very nice and does stack to the cap with other people in the group.
Also you will hit some high numbers with your encounters down to the 75% extra critical severity.
Artifact set:✓
I use the full Orcus set for the up to 20% increase in damage depending on the difference between the enemies health and your health.
Artifacts:✓
Heart of the black dragon : main for the Debuff
+1000 recovery, +1000 Armor pen, +600 AP gain
Heart of the blue dragon:
+1000 critical strike, +1000 recovery, +600 combat adv
Thayan book of the dead:
+1000 crit, +1000 Armor pen, +600 ap gain
Shard of orcus’ wand for the set:
+1000 power, +1000 movement, +600 aoe resist
Enchantments:✓
I stack all radiants preferably 11s or 12s in offense slots on my character for the base power increase, due to the feats I share 10% of my base power to all surrounding allies, so approximately 4100 power just for being within 50ft of me. Along with terrifying insight giving a +20% damage buff to all party members. This is nice considering its effortlessly boosting allies constantly.
I run one silvery for a bit of recovery in an offense slot.
The rest is azures for straight defence and also increased power due to the x2 assassin’s covenant mount bonuses which i shall cover below.
Powers and rotation:✓
For dailies I try and keep hallowed ground up as much as possible, it’s a straight 20% damage buff and DR buff to everyone that stands in the circle, this last about 15 seconds.
My second daily that I keep slotted is hammer of faith, this really is an awesome daily for damage output, it hits multiple times and it hits very hard, you gain a crowd control immunity while casting which is very nice. I only tend to use this for finishing hard enemies off or when HG is on cooldown.
At wills are always lance of faith which has a damage bonus on the 3rd hit along with a small AOE. And then always brand of the sun this has a lethal DOT and you will come to love this power with 100% crit chance.
When filling my Divinity meter I cast one brand of the sun followed by 3 lance of faith for the damage bonus and small AOE.
Class features;
Terrifying insight is always slotted as it gives 20% damage increase to the whole party at rank 4.
Foresight is sometimes slotted it helps keep you alive all of the time. and the team alive as everytime a team mate is hit with divine glow it passes the 8% DR to them for a short time.
For the most part however i use divine fortune for the extra Divinity gain and obviously increased rotation speed.
When doing dailies or T2 dungeons I always run chains of blazing light, daunting light and divine glow.
Example rotation:
I hit mobs/bosses with 3 chains in Divinity as it hits harder than daunting light, and then when fully empowered I hit daunting light as it’s OP and you will hit some nice numbers in the millions with this.
In harder content I run either forgemasters flame fully empowered for the group damage buff or break the spirit, depending what the other DC is using. I will replace divine glow with this power.
Mounts, insignias and bonuses:✓
I use the black ice warhorse for the 4k power bonus but a 2k power mount will suffice.
I run assassin’s covenant X2 for the increased power, it gives diminishing returns if you slot the same mount bonus twice but it’s still viable and beneficial, I use mostly defense insignias to top up the lost defence that assassin’s covenant takes from you. But in turn stacking defense insignias also gives you more power also.
I run protector’s cameraderie twice also, the second one obviously gives diminished returns but it still provides more bonus than slotting a protector’s friendship instead.
Don’t stack powers more than twice as the returns will be useless after the second time.
I then run gladiators guile for the movement speed as the run speed is painfully slow if you don’t, and you will struggle keeping up in dungeons with people who are using it.
SHOUT-OUTS DOWN BELOW >>>>>>>
